Associate Professor selected to represent the USA at ISCM New World Music Days Festival, Faroe Islands, 2024
The International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) is an international network of members from around fifty countries, devoted to the promotion and presentation of new and contemporary music. Its festival ISCM World Music Days first took place in Salzburg in 1923. After being shortlisted by the Miami Chapter of the ISCM, Associate Professor Lauren Hayes has been selected for the 2024 World Music Days Festival to represent the USA. Her new embodied improvisation for human-machine learning has been programmed by the festival that will take place at Tórshavn, in the Faroe Islands, June 2024.
