This week, Associate Professor Lauren Hayes heads to The Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts at Colby College in Maine for SPLICE Festival VII. SPLICE Festival is a three-day festival that blends engaging live performances with new technologies. Hayes will give a lecture on her ongoing research into improvisation, interdisciplinarity, and embodied music cognition, as well as present a new improvised work for sound/dance/movement/music with multi-hyphenate artist and Texas A&M University faculty Everett Perry-Johnson.
